On 9 October, from 11:30 to 13:30, the CERN Medical Service invites you to join its conference for the mental health campaign: “A Healthy Mind for a Calm Future.”
This dedicated event will feature three insightful talks on mental health. Find full details on the Indico page: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1570517/
🧠 Mental health is a vital part of our overall well-being. It enables us to think clearly, build relationships, perform effectively at work, and enjoy life.
At CERN, support is available to help you care for your mental well-being. The Medical Service offers a range of mental health resources to members of the personnel (MPE and MPA), including access to two on-site psychologists. https://hse.cern/content/mental-health-support
The CHIS covers care related to mental health for its members. This includes reimbursement for sessions with a psychologist or psychotherapist, provided the treatment is prescribed by a medical doctor and complies with the General Rule. The provider must be certified in the country in which they practise:
• In Switzerland, this means being on the Register of Psychology Professions.
• In France, this means being registered with the ARS and having an ADELI number.
The medical prescription must indicate either the treatment length (not exceeding one year) or a specific number of sessions. The CHIS annual ceiling for treatment by a psychologist is CHF 25 000 for children under the age of 18, and 6 000 CHF per calendar year for adults.
