Autumn sports
Autumn is one of the best seasons to stay active and enjoy sports. As the summer heat fades, cooler temperatures create more comfortable conditions for outdoor activities such as running, cycling, hiking, and a wide variety of other sports.
Regular exercise during autumn helps maintain physical fitness, strengthen the immune system ahead of winter, and improve energy levels. Staying active throughout the season also provides an excellent foundation for winter sports such as alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. Beyond the physical benefits, regular activity supports the body’s ability to respond to infectious diseases, including influenza and COVID-19, while contributing to overall well-being and resilience.[1]
Regular, autumn exercise has also been recognised for helping to support mental well-being by reducing stress and boosting mood, especially as the days become shorter and many people spend more time indoors.[2]
